Level 39 Technology at the WharfLevel39 is Europe_s largest Technology accelerator space for finance, retail and future cities technology companies. Occupying the entire 39th floor of the iconic One Canada Square building at Canary Wharf, Level39 helps the next generation of technology companies achieve huge growth by putting our high-potential businesses in the same room as the world_s most influential tech buyers, investors and mentors. Level39 also runs innovations programmes. These programmes run for six to twelve weeks, and take startup businesses on an intensive journey that allows them to access investment, knowledge and pilots with key clients. Level39 has to appeal to two very different stakeholder groups: the business community, and the technology ecosystem. Therefore we had to think long and hard about the design of our space. Techies need somewhere creative and versatile to work, whilst the space needed to maintain the professionalism expected by the financial sector. We worked with the architects Gensler to achieve this goal. As Gensler have worked with both banks and organisations such as Facebook in the past – we though they would be the right people to help us hit this middle point: FaceBank. Level39 has been open since Boris Johnson dropped by and swiped an iPad on 18th March 2013.
